About

Miranda is a self-taught weaver and textile artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Her practice is rooted in the language of cloth and explores how it’s stories, knowledge, and cultural context are intwined in our daily lives.

As a largely self-taught artist, Miranda approaches textile traditions such as weaving, natural dyeing, and patchwork as an ongoing study of translation and transmission. She seeks to communicate memory and meaning through these mediums and investigates what it means to attempt fluency in a material language where inheritance is interrupted, fragmented, or lost.
